Dinner Theater

Our 3rd annual Dinner Theater will be on Sunday, May 4.

The excellent and filling meal will be served at 5:00 that evening.

Following the meal the youth group will present an evening of entertainment featuring a variety of skits and musical offerings. Among this year’s drama collection is a look at what happens at during our youth group time as well as the time at the Parsonage. We will return to the nursing home again this year to hear from Ralph and his friends.

5th Quarters:

Boy’s basketball season is starting this month. We will again have 5th Quarters after each Hornet’s varsity boys’ basketball game. We will be hosting the 5th Quarters at the parsonage (104 W Main St) this year. This month we will have 5th Quarters on Saturday, November 24th and Friday, November 30th.

Work Day

Friday, November 9th, we had 23 youth participate in the work day!! We raked leaves at the Methodist Church, and picked up walnuts and leaves at the Rock. We then went and did several random acts of kindness in raking leaves for people. After all our hard work we enjoyed Arni's pizza and breadsticks. We ended the evening with a movie at the parsonage and a few games.

Community Worship Service

Sunday, November 18th, the youth group hosted the community worship service. Alice and Emma provided special music for us. We performed two skits. One had to do with counting our blessings, as there are always other people out in the world that have more trials then we have. The second skit had to do with being genuine with our thoughtfulness. Blake read the scriptures for us. Nate and Robby led music. Kate played the prelude, postlude and offertory for us. It was a wonderful evening of worshipping.

Boys' Overnight

7 Senior High boys spent the night at the parsonage on Friday, October 19th. Video games ruled the night along with a couple guy movies. Much food was inhaled. It was a great evening.

43 At Youth Group

Sunday, September 30th, we had 43 youth at youth group. We celebrated with pizza, games, and fellowship. Come and join us this week to see how many we have!!!

GIRLS OVERNIGHT

17 girls had a great time at the Methodist Parsonage on September 7th. We played with make-up and painted our nails. We learned about skin care and what our names mean. We played "boxers and briefs" and hide and seek. Most of us stayed up the whole night. What a fun event!!

Block Party

The youth group had fun running the games at the Block Party on September 22nd. Check out more photos in the picture album under youth group and RUMC images.

What! We Aren't Messy or Wet

Youth Groups Messy Games

The youth group finished up a season of messy games. We played marshmallow dodge ball. The marshmallows were dipped in ketchup, mustard, chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup. We had a dodge ball war with water balloons. We also played duck, duck, splat. We played musical pie in the face. Most everyone elected to take the pie in the face instead of being out. We ended the evening with banana football. The Church of the Brethren furnished us with ice cream sundaes. When we went back to the parsonage, we got the slip and slide out and played on that most of the evening.

Everyone loves PR

Even the people in Ohio love PR. What a cool dude!!

Mystery Kick Off

Fall Kick Off

On August 12th, the youth group had their fall kick off. They were divided up into teams and given clues where to go. Our first stop took us to Tom and Allison's where we swam for awhile. Our next clue led us to Jeff and Melissa's where we had to do push-ups or run around the house for the next clue. The next clue took us to Dan and Jacque's where the bonfire was lit and hot dogs and s'mores cooking. After our stomach's were full we headed out with the next clue. We arrived at an abandoned house to find Juan and Theresa having a hayride ready for us.
